Kiwanis Club of Boyne City
Kathryn Miller of Boyne Falls School (pictured here with her family) won a prize in the Reading of Eddie Essay contest with her essay about Otsego County Habitat for Humanity.
Kathryn worked with members of the Boyne Valley Catholic Community Youth Ministry
program and St. Joseph Youth Ministry program from West Branch on the build of House
#19 in Vanderbilt during the summer of 2011. When asked to write an essay about
a local charity, Karthyn chose us!
In addition to receiving a certificate
for her accomplishment, Kathryn's essay resulted in a donation from the Kiwanis
Club of Boyne City to Otsego County Habitat for Humanity.
We have already aranged with Patty Furtaw of the Boyne Vally Catholic community to have them help with House #20 in the summer of 2012. Each year we look forward to the excitement and energy these groups bring!
